Who should attend?
Supervisors, workers and contractors who work with or around electrical hazards and HVAC systems, including plant operations personnel, safety professionals, and safety committee members. Others with an interest in electrical safety are also welcome.
Background
Every day, hundreds of B.C. workers work safely on and around electricity. However, occasionally an unexpected hazard is overlooked and a worker becomes the victim of an arc flash or a serious shock.
The impact of an electrical injury or fatality can be devastating for the workers involved; and can damage equipment, delay production, and increase business costs . Learn about best workplace electrical safety practices in our province for workers during activities such as the installation, operation, maintenance, and demolition of electric conductors, electric equipment, signaling and communications conductors and equipment.
