If it came down to you versus train, who do you think would win?

Every year, accidents and injuries can easily be avoided if those riding commuter trains like the SkyTrain and Canada Line follow the posted safety rules. Reading and adhering to safety information can save lives. Signage is designed by experts who understand the surrounding hazards and want to prevent accidents.

During the month of April, the Safety Authority is continuing its campaign to increase rider safety. Railway Safety Officers are visiting stations to distribute free educational transit pass holders which suggest four simple ways to keep your commuter rail experience safe:

  • Respect the Edge – stay behind the yellow line
  • Don’t Rush – there’s another train on the way
  • Hang On – prevent falling inside the train
  • No wheels on Escalators – if it has wheels, use the elevator
