Safety Officers perform inspections based on the risk associated with the procedures involved and the site of the work. All stages of gas work performed under a homeowner permit get inspected.
You are responsible for complying with the Safety Standards Act, Regulations and applicable codes on all work where you are the named permit holder. If appropriate, complete the form for your type of installation and submit to your nearest BCSA office:
Equipment Fire-Up Form 1172
Propane Container Report Form 1030
Propane System Re-Certification Check List Form 524
If you are the permit holder and your Safety Officer has identified non-compliances on the certificate of inspection, you must correct the issue immediately and call your Safety Officer.
