The Passenger Ropeway & Amusement Ride Technology Committee separated into two committees in March 2010. The Amusement Rides Technology Committee was formed in the fall of 2010.
Committee Members
June Goudron (Chair), Vancouver – June has been the Manager of Technical Services for the Pacific National Exhibition for over 12 years, where she oversees the maintenance and repairs to all amusement rides. She is also a member of the other associations in the amusement ride industry on an international level.
Joe Medeiros, Langley – Joe has more than 25 years experience in the carnival and amusement park industry and, since 2001, has been the owner/operator of Shooting Star Amusements Ltd., an award-winning full-service midway company. He is a licensed millwright, certified electrician and is currently working on a power engineering ticket.
Scott McQueen, Sooke – Scott is the Owner/Operator and Director of Zipline Operations – Adrenaline Zipline Adventure Tours since 2007. In addition, is a firefighter for the city of Victoria since 2002 and a National Fire -Protection Association (NFPA) High-Angle Rope Rescue Technician from 2007 to present day. He is also Board member of the Victoria Firefighters Charitable Foundation.
Brent MacDonald, Squamish – Brent has been the Operations Manager for Ziptrek Ecotours since 2007. Before that he worked at Capilano University from 2003-2010 as a Skills Instructor and as a River Manager/Shareholder at Canadian Outback Adventures from 1995-2006. His committee experience includes: Valleycliff School Board, Squamish Tourism, Parent Advisory and Ziptrek “Green Team”.
Chris Steunenberg, Langley – Since 1996 Chris has been the Owner/Operator of Cultus Lake Waterpark. In addition to this work, he was a general contractor with West Fraser Management Ltd. from 1990-2010. He is involved with various committees including; World Waterpark Association and National Recreation and Park Association.
